Potential Alameda Point Developers Line Up for Development Opportunities as Initiative Gains Momentum

Local authorities have long tried to get a major development project going at former Navy base, Alameda Point. Currently, nine different development teams have submitted their applications in response to a request for qualifications, in order to have a shot at working on the 82-acre parcel located on San Francisco Bay. The list of applicants is currently under review by local authorities. The city previously issued a request for quotation (RFQ) for a 68-acre residential and commercial mixed-use project along the main entrance to Alameda Point.

Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas Unveils $94M Expansion

The Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas in North County recently completed its high-profile expansion as an investment of approximately $94 million was finalized. The grand opening of the Leichtag Foundation Critical Care Pavilion was held on July 1st, marking the addition of the new emergency department and inpatient rooms to the existing facilities, as well as a number of other improvements. The name of the new facility was also announced during the opening ceremony, Leichtag Foundation being a local philanthropic organization that has contributed with a total in $10 million back in 2009.

Dornin Buys Seven Hills MOBs in Henderson

The Seven Hills Medical Center in Henderson was recently purchased by Dornin Investment Group in an all-cash deal. The buyer acquired the medical office buildings located in the planned Seven Hills community as part of a 1031 exchange arranged on behalf of both the buyer and seller by Jason Lesley of Colliers International.

Zendesk HQ Acquired by ASB Real Estate Investments in $60 Million Deal

989 Market Street, the San Francisco home of cloud-based help desk provider Zendesk, just traded hands in a deal worth approximately $61.3 million. The office asset was acquired by ASB Real Estate Investments from seller Harbert Management Corporation, a deal in which the seller received more than double what it had paid for the property back in 2011. This recent purchase was made on behalf of ASB’s Allegiance Real Estate Fund, a $3.5 billion vehicle.

Moderate-Income Apartments in Downtown Albuquerque Nears Completion

The mixed-use project located at the periphery of Albuquerque’s Central Business District along historic Route 66 at 901 Park Avenue SW is nearing completion. The opening date is set for August 8, reports Albuquerque Business First.
