It was recently announced that the Las Vegas City Council has greenlit the development of a parking garage in the area where the proposed stadium would have taken shape.
Lennar Takes Site in Little Italy for High-Rise
A vacant site that is scheduled to become a new residential high-rise was recently the object of a deal in Little Italy. The buyer was Lennar Multifamily Communities , LLC who paid seller Chhatrala 520 Ash St LLC a total of $12.8 million for the development site. According to the San Diego office of Colliers International, the off-market transaction was handled by Senior Vice President Victor Krebs on behalf of the buyer. The selling entity was not represented by a brokerage.
Moratorium Plan Galvanizes Debate Over Affordable Housing
The Mission is facing a very testing moment as the San Francisco Board of Supervisors is set to discuss the recently proposed Mission District Housing Moratorium during the upcoming month. Although analysts are predicting that the measure will not pass, the proposition will most likely return as a November ballot initiative. Garden-Style Multifamily Property Near Portland Acquired for $49.5M
A residential community in the proximity of Portland recently traded hands in a deal worth $49.5 million. Aukum Management LLC acquired the multifamily asset from a private investor, free and clear of existing debt. The transaction was arranged by a Holiday Fenoglio Fowler led by managing director Ira Virden and Associate Director Kerry Hughes. HFF carried out the marketing of the Canyon Creek property.

IHG to Open Indigo Hotel in Greenland’s DTLA Metropolis Development
Greenland USA is adding a new hotel to its offering at the Metropolis mixed-use development in downtown Los Angeles. The company, a subsidiary of Greenland Group in Shanghai, has announced that it has inked an agreement with InterContinental Hotels Group for the opening of the city’s first Indigo-branded hotel. The hotel will be integrated into the $1 billion development project that Greenland is currently building in the proximity of the city’s Financial District and L.A. Live. IHG and Greenland are frequent partners, the latter operating seven facilities bearing IHG brands.
