On October 22, Capitol Technology University, formerly know as Capitol College, broke ground on a new residence complex located on the school’s 52-acre campus in Laurel. When finished, it will house 300 undergraduate students.

Whole Foods Market to Anchor $350M Towson Row Development
Whole Foods Market is coming to Baltimore county. The natural foods and organic grocer will open a new location at the Towson Row mixed-use development to be built at the southern gateway to downtown Towson. Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz, Whole Foods Market and Caves Valley Partners made the announcement on Wednesday, November 5.

Montgomery County, StonebridgeCarras, LLC and The Bozzuto Group have recently formed a joint venture and plan to start work on about 1.1 million square feet of mixed-use projects that will reshape the Wheaton Triangle and the site of the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission headquarters in Silver Spring.
Akron Children’s Hosptial Receives $10M Donation from Kay Jewelers
On Friday, October 24, Akron Children’s Hospital announced it has received a record $10 million gift from Kay Jewelers. The donation will help finance the construction of a seven-story addition on the hospital’s main downtown campus. The new tower will be named Kay Jewelers Pavilion, in recognition of the retailer’s support.
