Chesapeake Plywood Buys Warehouse in Baltimore’s Orangeville Industrial Area for $3M
A warehouse in Baltimore City’s Orangeville Industrial Area has recently changed hands. Chesapeake Plywood paid $3 million to purchase the property at 3400 E. Biddle Street from Miller Investments. Alan Coppola of NAI KLNB represented the buyer, while Justin Mohler of CBRE represented the seller.
The Simpson Organization Buys Two Innsbrook Office Buildings for $22M
Richmond’s hot Insbrook submarket continues to attract office investors. The Atlanta-based Simpson Organization purchased Westerre I and II this month, for $22 million or about $135 per square foot. It is the highest price per square foot paid in the Richmond area this year.

Bozzuto, Partners Break Ground on Arlington’s Union on Queen
The Bozzuto Group has started work on another apartment project in the Washington, D.C. area. It’s called Union on Queen and it is a public-private partnership between Bozzuto, the 40-year old non-profit developer Wesley Housing Development Corporation, Arlington County, Capital One Bank, Hudson Housing Capital, Walker & Dunlop, and The Virginia Housing Development Authority.

In its 2014 Apartment Market Report for the Baltimore area, Marcus & Millichap said operations in the region will continue to strengthen and vacancies will drop to 4.5 percent by the end of the year. Anticipating the growing demand, numerous developers have started work on several large apartment project. One of the largest could be coming to Lutherville-Timonium.

On Tuesday, November 4, URS Capital Partners announced the acquisition of another apartment community. It is called Creekside Village and it is located in Cincinnati’s Fairfield submarket. URS Capital Partners did not disclose the price of the transaction.
