Two large industrial properties in the Dayton area changed hands this month. The properties total over 300,000 square feet of space and have sold for a little over $5.5 million.

Balfour Beatty Construction Selected for George Mason University Student Housing Project
The George Mason University in Fairfax is growing and looking to become an active 24/7 campus. To help meet the continuing demand for undergraduate housing, the university has selected Balfour Beatty Construction to lead the design-build team for their new student housing facility, Shenandoah Housing VIIIB, also called Taylor Hall. Balfour Beatty Construction has worked on three other projects for George Mason University, including the construction of another housing facility.
Blue Ocean Realty Buys Downtown Baltimore’s Only LEED Gold EB Certified Office Tower
Baltimore’s 201 North Charles Street has a new owner. Blue Ocean Realty, a local company, paid $19.7 million or about $75 per square foot for the property. Jonathan M. Carpenter and James S. Wellschlager of Cassidy Turley’s Capital Markets Group represented the seller, Lexington Charles Limited Partnership. The deal is the first significant investment sale in downtown Baltimore since 2007.
Dominion Packaging Pays $9M for Former Mazda Warehouse
Dominion Packaging, a local packing company, recently acquired the former Mazda warehouse at 5700 Audubon Drive, near the Richmond International Airport. 5700 Audubon 2007, LLC, an affiliate of New Jersey-based Hampshire Real Estate Companies, sold the property for $9 million.
CNL Healthcare Properties Buys Elyria Medical Building for $20M
The Cleveland Clinic Elyria Family Health and Surgery Center has a new owner. Orland-based CNL Healthcare Properties Inc. has acquired the property as part of a six-building portfolio for which it paid a total of $59.5 million.
