Arden Karson Joins CBRE in Miami

The new senior managing director will oversee the delivery of integrated commercial real estate services to clients throughout South Florida.

Miami—CBRE has recently announced that Arden Karson is joining the company as senior managing director in South Florida. Karson will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the firm’s South Florida business operations, encompassing three offices, including Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton, and 200 employees.

Karson will supervise the delivery of integrated commercial real estate services to clients throughout the South Florida market. She will be based in Miami and will report to John Ferguson, president of the Southeast Division.

“Arden is an experienced leader who understands the intricacies of our business and brings an extensive skill set to CBRE,” said Ferguson in prepared remarks. “She has a proven track record of working effectively across multiple lines of business while focusing on creating positive client outcomes.”

Karson joins CBRE with more than 25 years of real estate experience, bringing multi-faceted background in sales and marketing, development, acquisitions, asset management, leasing and finance. Prior to joining the firm, she served as senior vice president for The Related Group, being responsible for sales and development of approximately $1 billion of mixed-use real estate assets. Her track record also includes stints with Lennar/LNR, Advenir, Tate Capital, CREC and Barrow Street Capital. Karson also worked as real estate lender at Bank of America and served PwC as consultant.

Karson graduated Tufts University and holds a BA degree in international relations with a concentration in Spanish and Latin American studies. She received her MBA from Harvard Business School and is currently an executive member of the Board of Directors for Friends of The Underline, a non-profit organization advocating to transform the underutilized land below Miami’s Metrorail into a 10-mile linear park.
