Apex Tool Group, an international producer of industrial hand and power tools and tool storage, has expanded its Crescent brand with a line of flammable storage cabinets. The new heat resistant Jobox case protects and stores flammable or combustible materials and liquids from fire.

The cabinets are UL-certified and can hold an internal temperature of 270 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 minutes—which is 80 degrees below of the certification requirement—with exterior temperatures between 1,250 and 1,500 degrees.

Features of the Jobox include 18 gauge double walls, high/low vent connections, self-latching three-point locking system, extra heavy duty 1.75 inch thick doors, EZ-level skid bolsters with anti-tip design, tilted spill-guide interior shelving and highly visible safety and warning labels.

Protecting people, products and property was the guiding force behind us as we developed these new safety cabinets. We looked at the various ways that safety cabinets can fail and developed innovative solutions to those issues,” Product Manager Sam Samsel said in a prepared statement.
