American Woodmark Invests $30M to Consolidate Virginia HQ

Winchester, Va.—American Woodmark Corp. is planning to invest $30 million to consolidate its headquarters operations in Frederick County, Va., and create 55 new jobs.

“We truly believe we differentiate ourselves in all we do based on our people and the incredible culture we have built,” Cary Dunston, president & CEO of American Woodmark, said in prepared remarks. ”I am extremely excited that we will be creating a central corporate office, consolidating four facilities within the Winchester area. By bringing our employees together at one location, we will further strengthen our interpersonal connections, drive efficiency in our day-to-day interactions and greatly enhance our ability to move our culture towards our vision.”

Virginia Economic Development Partnership worked with Frederick County to secure the project and Governor Terry McAuliffe approved a $550,000 grant from the Commonwealth’s Opportunity Fund to assist the county. The company qualifies for road access funding from the Virginia Department of Transportation and funding and services to support the company’s employee training activities will be provided through the Virginia Jobs Investment Program.

The company’s success is a testament to the skilled labor and strong business climate of the region, and we will continue to invest in advanced manufacturing, as it is central to diversifying and building a new Virginia economy.”
