New York—UA Builders Group, a commercial, institutional, retail and multifamily builder operating nationwide, has recently announced that Adam Meil joined the team as director of building information modeling and engineering services. Established in 2014 and headquartered in New York, UA Builders’ regional offices are located in Miami, Washington and Boston. CBRE, Foursquare Properties, RFR Holding, Compass, Edison Properties and Bank of America are amongst the company’s clients.

UA Builders has completed more than two million square feet of projects for the shared workspace powerhouse WeWork. Meil’s current projects include pre-construction reviews for WeWork’s upcoming shared office facilities at 625 Massachusetts Ave., in Cambridge, Mass., and 311 West 43rd St., in Manhattan. Prior to joining UA Builders, Meil owned a consulting firm called CAD Whispering LLC, but also worked as an electrical engineer at PWI Engineering. Meil studied electrical engineering and math at the University of Vermont and is a Revit MEP Autodesk Certified Professional.

“Adam will lead our BIM and Engineering Services department, which plays a crucial role in on-time and on-budget delivery of complex projects our firm is building around the country. We strongly believe in employing the latest technologies to ensure projects proceed with minimal interruptions and change orders. Building Information Modeling is a great tool that allows us to properly coordinate all elements of the design prior to the beginning of construction,” said Albert Gjonbalaj, CEO of UA Builders Group, in prepared remarks.

UA Builders is known for its extensive use of building information modeling in pre-construction phases, which eliminates design and engineering conflicts, accelerates schedules, limits change orders and provides budget savings to clients. The company currently employs a staff of more than 200.
