Less than a year after being named President of CB Richard Ellis Investors, Matt Khourie has also been named Chief Executive Officer. Khourie joined CBRE in July and now succeeds Vance Maddocks, who after more than three years serving in two senior leadership roles plans to fully focus on his role as President of the Strategic Partners U.S. series of funds.
“While this is a difficult decision for me, I believe it is in the best interest of our investor partners,” Maddocks said when announcing the news.
During his previous 29-year tenure with Trammel Crow Company, Khourie gained experience in investment strategy, portfolio management, development, and institutional investor relations. As President of CBRE Investors, he has been responsible for daily management of the firm.
Khourie is one of several relatively recent new hires at CBRE Investors. The company has grown its leadership team with the addition of Global Chief Operating Officer Peter DiCorpo as well as Global Chief Financial Officer and Head of Risk Management Shaun O’Connor.
CBRE Investors has a $34.7 billion portfolio in assets under management as of Dec. 31, 2009. The firm sponsors investment programs across the risk/return spectrum for investors on a global scale.
