WoodSpring Suites Hotel Breaks Ground Near Miami Zoo

WoodSpring Hotels announced the groundbreaking on October 26

WoodSpring Hotels, the company behind the fast-growing WoodSpring Suites brand, and its partner, Gold Coast Premier Properties, LLC announced the groundbreaking of a new extended stay hotel near Zoo Miami.

Located at Coral Reef Drive and parallel to the Florida Turnpike, the hotel will be built as a prototypical 124-room WoodSpring Suites property. The development’s guest amenities roster will feature laundry facilities, modified kitchens and high-speed internet. This will be the first of two planned WoodSpring Suites to be developed by Gold Coast. The second location is slated to be a WoodSpring Suites Signature hotel, built in the Doral submarket of Miami.

WoodSpring Hotels owns and operates 87 hotels and provides management services for both company-owned and franchised locations under the WoodSpring Suites and Value Place brands. The WoodSpring Suites franchise currently includes 198 value extended-stay hotels in 30 states.

The projected opening date for the new Miami hotel is Q3 2016.
