USAA Real Estate Co. has bought a 1.7-acre Arlington, Va., land parcel slated for a 167,232-square-foot mixed-use project. Known as 1900 Wilson, the project will be comprised of 191 Class A multi-family units totaling 149,915 square feet as well as 17,317 square feet of street-level retail.

The land was bought from ZOM Inc., a multi-family and mixed-use development firm. The purchase price was not released.

Located near the Court House Metro Stop along the Rosslyn Ballston Metro Corridor, 1900 Wilson is being billed as a transit-oriented property. ZOM will serve as development manager, overseeing preliminary processes as well as construction and lease-up.

According to USAA chairman and CEO Pat Duncan, 1900 Wilson will help diversify the company’s multi-family and mixed-use portfolio.
