The Atlanta unit of United Parcel Service Inc., Coyote Logistics, revealed plans to develop a 48,000-square-foot operations center in Atlanta. The project will lead to the creation of 325 professional jobs, including full-time sales and customer service positions.

The location, 255 Ottley Drive within Armour Yards, will allow the UPS subsidiary to benefit from the area’s expansive transportation infrastructure and well-connected business community. The Armour Yards office will accommodate the firm’s information technology, customer service and sales employees.

Solid Infrastructure

Georgia’s solid logistics and distribution sector continues to attract thriving companies such as Coyote Logistics. This announcement is indicative of not only our pro-business environment, but our incredible relationship with UPS as well,” Georgia Department of Economic Development Commissioner Pat Wilson, said in prepared remarks.

According to Coyote’s President Jonathan Sisler, the expansion falls in line with the subsidiary’s strategy to broaden its geographic footprint and services portfolio. The new office will allow Coyote to expand its customer and carrier operations, by drawing upon local talent.

Through this move, the subsidiary will be strategically located closer to its parent company, as well as have access to the Southeast’s most comprehensive rail system, the Atlanta airport and the container port in Savannah, Ga. Additionally, the development will be in the vicinity of Midtown’s startup ecosystem, as well as Georgia Tech and Emory University.
