MiamiSavills Studley recently announced that it has arranged a long-term, 18,300 square-foot office sublease with the University of Miami (UM) at Flagler Station, a 10.5 million-square-foot business park in Miami.

This new sublease enables the University to consolidate space and reposition non-medical staff to a location off the downtown medical campus. UM will occupy space on the third floor of Flagler Station’s Building 1300.

Building 1300 is a four-story, 150,350-square-foot property, according to Yardi Matrix data. Built in 2009, the Class-A office asset features 37,587-square-foot floor plates and 752 parking spaces. It is located at 9675 NW 117th Ave., with Ronald Reagan Turnpike/State Route 821 street exposure.

“This space is a perfect fit for the University’s needs,” said Robert Orban, senior vice president and branch manager with Savills Studley, in prepared remarks, “The fact that we were able to secure fully built-out space with furniture, fixtures and equipment at such an attractive sublease rate made it a win-win for both parties.”

Orban and Associate Tyler Wyant represented UM in the 8.5-year subleasing transaction. The sublessor, Brink’s Inc., was represented by Keith Edelman and Scott Goldstein of Avison Young.
