Uline Eyes Office Expansion Near Milwaukee

Uline Inc. is expanding again in Pleasant Prairie, Wis. This time, the distribution company will add a third office building to its headquarters. Groundbreaking is expected this spring.

Upon its late 2025 completion, the office addition will total some 325,000 square feet across three stories. The building will house at least 700 full-time and 20 part-time employees, with many positions relocating from existing Uline facilities.

The company bought the approximately 45-acre development site in the Prairie Highlands Corporate Park from the Village of Pleasant Prairie for $8.3 million, according to the Milwaukee Business Journal. The Pleasant Prairie Plan Commission approved the Master Conceptual Plan for the building in mid-January.

The Village of Pleasant Prairie developed the corporate park on land previously owned by Abbott Labs. The village acquired the terrain in 2017, when Abbott decided not to expand at that site. Other companies in the campus include Haribo of America, Nexus Pharmaceuticals Inc. and Advocate Aurora Health.

Closer look at design plans

Spanning some 245 acres, Uline’s corporate headquarters currently includes two office buildings totaling 549,000 square feet. The company has grown significantly since it moved to Pleasant Prairie in 2010 and now has more than 9,000 employees in North America.

The new building, designed by Eppstein Uhen Architects Inc., will be located on vacant land north of 104th Street on the east side of 128th Street. Plans call for offices, conference rooms, dining areas and a fitness center.

The project is set to feature extensive landscaping, green spaces and an architectural layout and scale that aligns with the other Uline buildings. The development will have 1,061 parking spaces, including 21 handicapped-accessible parking spaces, as well as a a detached 4,000-square-foot utility building.
