Twitter Inc. has signed a five-year lease extension to continue occupying the entire office space at 249 W. 17th St., a Class A office building in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood. Columbia Property Trust Inc. secured the lease with the company, which will run until April 2030.

The social media giant has called the 215,000-square-foot property home since 2014, when the building was fully renovated. This location marks Twitter’s second-largest headquarters, following its San Francisco property. The 1909-built asset comprises two buildings, one six-story and one 12-story, that are interconnected. The building is also occupied by Room & Board’s furniture showroom and a FlyWheel Cycle Studio.

“We are very pleased to extend our relationship with Twitter at 249 W. 17th St.,” said Nelson Mills, CEO of Columbia Property Trust, in a prepared statement. “We’re delighted that this fully renovated and highly amenitized property, located in Manhattan’s premier neighborhood for leading tech and media companies, will serve as their New York home for years to come.”

Last month, Columbia Property Trust signed a third lease with WeWork, which will occupy 115,000 square feet at 149 Madison Ave., a 12-story Midtown South building.
