Tucson Golf Resort and Club Prepares for Multi-Phase Makeover

The Lodge at Ventana Canyon will soon undergo a multi-million dollar renovation with the first phase of the renovation updating the one-bedroom suites, Experience AZ Magazine reports.

The Lodge at Ventana Canyon will soon undergo a multi-million dollar renovation, Experience AZ Magazine reports. In phase one, the one-bedroom suites will be updated.

At just 30 minutes from the Tucson International Airport, the 50-suite property has been ranked an AAA Four-Diamond resort for almost 20 consecutive years. The Lodge at Ventana Canyon includes several award-winning golf courses, a tennis complex, a fitness center, spa, a junior olympic-size pool and 12 lighted tennis courts including a stadium court. The site is also home to a private country club, the Ventana Canyon Golf & Racquet Club which is owned by a local consortium of investors.

The all-suite property’s common areas have already been updated, including the lobby, fitness center, patios and part of the grounds. The recently announced series of renovations starts with the installation of new furniture and the upgrading of the kitchens and bathrooms in all one-bedroom 800-sq.-ft. suites.

The formal dining and banquet spaces will undergo renewal after phase one is completed in January. In addition to the renovation of the dining areas, the management scheduled the the addition of a new resort-style pool and Jacuzzi spa as well as a revived Golf House with an expanded Golf Academy. In phases two and three, the Ventana Bar will be completely transformed and will feature indoor/outdoor patio seating facing the nearby Catalina Mountains.
