Miami—Tribute Portfolio, part of Marriott International, has recently opened the brand’s second hotel in Florida, the 157-key Hotel Colonnade Coral Gables. Prior to opening, the property underwent an $18 million renovation program.

Reimagined by Dawson Design Associates, the hotel now features redesigned event venues and guest rooms as well as a new lobby bar. The existing vaulted ceilings and grand staircase in the lobby are now centered under a stained glass ‘rosary’ style window and oversized glass chandeliers. All 157 guest rooms now boast wood floors and contemporary stainless steel pedestal beds, sectional sofas and smoked glass desks.

Additional amenities include a fitness center, hot tub and outdoor pool, golf course, roof terrace as well as a game room with billiards, tabletop shuffleboard and video games. Hotel Colonnade Coral Gables also features 23,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor meeting space, ranging from grand ballrooms to intimate salons.

“Fresh from its meticulous redesign, Hotel Colonnade Coral Gables is a true representation of the Tribute Portfolio brand thanks to its one-of-a-kind amenities (…) and stylish new design that taps into the history of charming Coral Gables,” Lori Strasberg, vice president of global brand management with Tribute Portfolio, said in a prepared statement.

The hotel is located at 180 Aragon Ave. in Coral Gables, in close proximity to upscale shops and restaurants, and about 3.5 miles from Interstate 95, 4 miles from Miami International Airport and 12 miles from Miami Beach.
