Transwestern Secures 100 KSF Doral Lease Renewal

Transwestern’s South Florida team has brokered a long-term lease renewal with DHL at Beacon Centre, a Class A business park in Miami’s Airport/Doral submarket. The global logistics provider will continue to occupy 100,000 square feet within the industrial campus.

Fully leased asset

The renewal maintains 100 percent occupancy at the 180,000-square-foot building located at 8400 NW 25th St. RREEF Property Trust, Deutsche Asset Management’s real estate platform, owns a four-building, 425,000-square-foot portfolio within Beacon Centre. Centrally situated in Doral, Fla., the property provides frontage on NW 25th Street.

Transwestern Senior Vice President Thomas Kresse, Managing Director Ben Eisenberg and Senior Associate Carlos Gaviria facilitated the transaction on behalf of the landlord, while Senior Managing Director Walter Byrd represented the tenant in the lease negotiations.

“Beacon Centre is centrally located in Doral, just two miles from the cargo facilities at Miami International Airport,” said Kresse, in prepared remarks. “This desirable location, the park’s environment and solid institutional ownership were major factors in maintaining our long-standing relationship with DHL.”

Earlier this month, RREEF sold a 209,669-square-foot premier office building in the heart of Tysons, Va., to The Meridian Group.
