Transwestern Completes Greater Houston Industrial Project

Transwestern Development Co. has completed the development of Bayport 146 Distribution Center in Seabrook, Texas, after nearly two years of construction.
The 454,600-square-foot cross-dock industrial space is located at 5803 Old Highway 146, near Houston. The facility, which has been under construction since April 2022, has a clear height of 36 feet and a building depth of 400 feet. The project can accommodate tenants from 113,680 square feet to 454,600 square feet and includes 150- and 180-foot truck aprons and up to 74 trailer parking spaces.
Bayport Container Terminal is adjacent to the project, with the highway allowing for direct access, including for heavy-haul loads.
Transwestern Executive Managing Director Brian Gammill, Managing Director Darryl Noon and Managing Director Nick Peterson have been tasked with leasing the property. The company’s Texas team, led by Regional Partner Denton Walker, has five industrial projects totaling 5.4 million square feet either under construction or in the pre-development stages throughout Texas.
