Trammell Crow Co. pushes two of its own up the ladder. Adam Saphier has been promoted to president of Central Operations and Adam Nims moves up to serve as principal of the Austin business unit.

“Our assets are our people,” Michael S. Duffy, chief operating officer with TCC,” told Commercial Property Executive. “The promotions of [Saphier and Nims] are a natural extension of our emphasis on recognizing and rewarding those that exemplify the entrepreneurial, partnership-oriented culture of our organization and that live our values of respect, integrity, service, and excellence.”

A player at TCC since 2005, Saphier takes on his new role after having held the position of managing director in charge of the Dallas/Fort-Worth business unit. As head of Central Operations, he will continue his previous duties, in addition to managing the Austin and Houston business units. And beyond the borders of the Lone Star state, he will direct the Chicago business unit. He’ll have a full plate overseeing development and acquisition projects, new business endeavors, finance and operations.

Saphier will certainly have a big helping hand in Austin, where Nims will focus on development and acquisition projects in the city and across Central Texas. He will also be involved in developing new business and day-to-day operations. Nims, a six-year TCC veteran, has been playing a major role in the Austin unit, and previously he served as senior vice president involved in the firm’s healthcare initiative in Dallas.

“We are thrilled that the next generation of leaders at Trammell Crow Company is emerging and are confident that under their leadership, as well as that of many of their peers, TCC will continue to prosper as we strive to be the preeminent development and investment company nationally,” Duffy said.
