Berlin—The Student Hotel—a Dutch group that pioneered a hybrid model of high-quality hospitality—has teamed up with the European Student Housing Fund to open its first Germany location in Berlin. The 456-key, 182,986-square-foot hotel will be developed and operated in a joint venture with Triton Development GmbH, the investment adviser of the European Student Housing Fund.

Scheduled to open in 2019, the hotel is located on Alexanderstrasse, in close proximity to the iconic Alexanderplatz, the modern transition junction and hotspot for development within the Mitte district.

The property’s ground floor will be accessible to the public and feature study areas, meeting rooms, a fitness room and a 400+ bicycle fleet garage.

“The Student Hotel Berlin will connect students and start-ups, freelancers and the local neighbourhood. We are happy to start our German adventure in Berlin, a city which, like The Student Hotel, has been a shelter for a young and international community,” Charlie MacGregor, The Student Hotel CEO & founder, said in a prepared statement.
