The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain receives Five Star Rating

The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain near Tucson has been named a new Five Star hotel. Forbes Travel Guide recently unveiled its latest Star Rating list.

The distinction puts the 850-acre resort among the top luxury destinations worldwide. Two other Arizona properties have also received the Five Star rating this year, The Canyon Suites at The Phoenician in Scottsdale and Kai Restaurant in Chandler.

Since 1958, Forbes Travel Guide has annually announced a list of hospitality properties that meet from 500 to 800 rigorous and objective industry standards. The properties are evaluated anonymously, and classified as Five Star, Four Star or Recommended facilities. “Our Star Ratings recognize the finest hotels, restaurants and spas in the world and serve as the most authoritative guideposts for guests seeking exceptional travel experiences,” said Forbes Travel Guide CEO Gerard J. Inzerillo in a recent news release.

The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain is an adventure, spa and golf resort located in Marana, at the foot of the Tortolita Mountains. It offers 253 rooms ranging from 450 to 511 square feet in size, as well as a variety of suites and private casitas with living rooms, walk-in closets and one-and-a-half baths in the largest ones. Highlights include three swimming pools, a 235-foot water slide and splash pad, a 27-hole golf-course, spa cabanas and day beds. There are also several award-winning bars and restaurants on site.

The Ritz-Carlton chain is present in the Americas, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa and the Caribbean. The global portfolio includes 88 operating hotels with more than 30 new projects currently under development.
