Tenants Announced for Florida Retail Center

The Shopping Center Group announced the first retail tenants for Delray Square, a 150,000-square-foot shopping center in Delray Beach, Fla. Completed in the 1970s, the property is currently undergoing a major redevelopment program led by The Keith Corp.

Located on the northeast corner of the intersection of West Atlantic Avenue and South Military Trail at 4809 W. Atlantic Ave., the retail center will be anchored by a new 45,600-square-foot Publix Super Market. Additionally, the tenant roster features retailers including Pet Supermarket, Chick-fil-A and Chipotle Mexican Grill.

Extensive makeover plans

Redevelopment plans include the demolition of the former movie theatre to make way for a new Publix market along with another 17,000 square feet of new shop space, joining the remaining 41,000 square feet that will be modernized to align with the center’s new architecture and design style. The phased construction commences this month with storefronts slated for completion starting mid-2018. Publix is set to open in the fourth quarter of 2018.

Mike Fetherston, leasing advisor with TSCG, is spearheading marketing efforts along with Knox Campbell of The Keith Corp. Approximately 85,000 square feet is currently available encompassing a 51,700-square foot anchor box adjacent to Publix with visibility to South Military Trail and options to divide the space.

“There is so much opportunity at Delray Square with the variety of retail bays and storefronts that there really isn’t a use that we can’t entertain—which gives us a wide girth of opportunity to put together a creative yet strategic leasing plan,” said Fetherston, in a prepared statement.
