Tapestry Collection by Hilton Opens First Pacific Northwest Hotel

The Sound Hotel Seattle Belltown, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

Hilton and The Hotel Group have launched the Sound Hotel Seattle Belltown, Tapestry Collection By Hilton in Seattle. The 142-key project is the first hotel under the Tapestry flag in the Pacific Northwest.

The hotel occupies the first 10 floors of the 42-story, mixed-use Arrivé tower in the city’s Belltown neighborhood. According to Yardi Matrix, the building includes 344 residential units and roughly 1,800 square feet of retail.  

Located at 2120 4th Ave., the Sound Hotel is close to several restaurants, entertainment venues and landmarks such as the Seattle Space Needle, Pike Place Market and the Amazon Spheres. Amenities include a ground-level restaurant dubbed Currant Bistro, an adjacent coffee bar, a 770-square-foot meeting room on the seventh floor and a 24-hour fitness center.  

“The hotel’s design drew directly from the Belltown neighborhood’s deep roots in the arts and local music scene, mixed in with the natural beauty of the Puget Sound region,” said David Watkins, general manager of The Sound Hotel, in prepared remarks.

Watkins commissioned local graffiti artist Weirdo—also knows as Jeff Jacobson—to paint a mural on the exterior brick wall facing several of the guest rooms. Hirsch Bedner Associates worked on the interior and exterior design of the hotel. Earlier this year, a Hilton-branded property opened in Nashville—the 210-key Hilton Nashville Green Hills.
