Tanger, Poag Build New Outlet Shopping Center Near Memphis

North Carolina-based Tanger Factory Outlet Centers Inc. and Poag Shopping Centers, LCC will break ground for a new Tanger Outlets shopping center in Southaven, MS on March 13. Located just 4.5 miles from Memphis at the northeast quadrant of I-69/55 and Church Road, the outlet mall will be developed in two phases.

During the official ceremony, guests will be able to see the design of the new mall, its amenities and a partial tenant roster. The project will create 400 jobs in the construction phase and over 900 full- and part-time positions upon build out. According to an official statement, the center will generate about $7.5 million in additional sales tax per year.

The first phase will deliver ±310,000 square feet of gross leasable space, which will accommodate more than 70 stores.
