TailoredSpace Opens San Diego Flex Office
This is the company's 11th coworking location.

Flexible office solution provider TailoredSpace has opened a 12,000-square-foot coworking location in San Diego’s Kearny Mesa, at Strauss Investments’ 9619 Chesapeake Drive. The firm will occupy Suite 200.
CBRE Senior Vice President Michael Mahoney worked on behalf of TailoredSpace in the transaction.
The building is part of an 87,775-square-foot campus. Strauss Investments acquired the asset in 2022 from Brixton Capital for $22.8 million, according to CommercialEdge information.
This is the company’s 11th location. The firm also has two sites under construction in San Diego’s Del Mar Heights and Oceanside neighborhoods. The former is slated to open this quarter.
Other coworking locations under the same brand are in California’s Brea, Carlsbad, Chino Hills, Corona, Laguna Niguel, Rancho Cucamonga, Riverside, San Juan Capistrano, San Clemente and West Covina. TailoredSpace’s 10,500-square-foot flex office in San Clemente opened this February, marking the city’s first full-service coworking space.

Completed in 1985, the complex consists of two three-story buildings with floorplates averaging 14,000 square feet. The tenant roster features James Wheeler Architect, Patenaude & Felix APC and Q.E.D. Systems Inc.
Amenities at TailoredSpace’s location include phone and conference rooms, as well as member events, private offices and executive suites. The building is near Interstate 15 and Kaiser Permanente San Diego Medical Center. Downtown San Diego is some 10 miles southwest.
As of February, there were 7,814 coworking spaces across the U.S., marking a 25 percent increase since the previous year, a recent CommercialEdge report shows. San Diego’s office vacancy rate during the same month stood at 21.6 percent, significantly above the 19.9 percent national figure.
