Methodist Hospital Announces $200M Expansion

The Methodist Hospital opened in 1963 in the South Texas Medical Center with 175 beds and 272 employees. These days, the hospital has 882 beds and a staff of 3,538 members; recently they’ve announced a significant expansion of $200 million that will start in early 2014 and be completed in 2017.

PHH Ventures Partners Lease Aztec Theater, with Plans to Redevelop It

After the successful collaboration at transforming Sam’s Burger Joint into a live music venue, Sam Panchevre and Keith Howerton, partners at PHH Ventures Entertainment LLC, have signed a multi-year lease with Baron Theodore Bracht for the 87-year old historic Aztec Theater. The property, located at 201 E. Commerce Street, will undergo renovations that will transform the theater into a concert venue capable of accommodating mid-sized touring acts.

SouthStar Announces Three New Neighborhoods in New Braunfels Community

SouthStar, the fully integrated real estate investment, development and management firm with focus on the residential market, following strong sales in the Vintage Oak community, has announced plans for three new neighborhoods in the city of New Braunfels, northeast of San Antonio. This master planned community is on the market since 2006 and only in the past 10 months it announced the sale of more than 100 housing lots.

Hunter’s Ridge Becomes Elm Creek Apartments After Presidium Group Acquisition

Formerly known as Hunter’s Ridge, the apartment complex at 2358 NW Military Highway, near Hardberger Park, has a new owner and a new name. Presidium Group, a Dallas-based real estate investment and management firm, added the community to its portfolio. After a re-branding process they named it Elm Creek Apartments.

H-E-B has revealed its plans for a $100 million master plan that would transform the area north of the historic King William neighborhood. The project is designed to be developed in two phases and would encompass almost 27 acres.

Big Red Dog Announces New Apartment Community in San Antonio

They will provide engineering and entitlements services for the Medical Center apartment project.
