The Salt Lake City office of Coldwell Banker Commercial was recently acquired by a group of private investors from NRT LLC. The buying entity, consisting of real estate agents Brandon Fugal, Tim Simonsen and Stuart Thain, has also announced that the newly formed company will also enlist Lew Cramer, the founder and chief executive officer of the World Trade Center Utah, as its CEO.
Anderson Development Details Plans for Mixed-Use Project at Geneva Steel Site
Set to become the new development hotbed for the Salt Lake area, the site of the former Geneva Steel plant has been in the news for a number of times over the past years. After the collapse of the Real Salt Lake stadium project, Anderson Development had recalibrated its sights and decided to get a massive mixed-use community to the 100 acres of land available at the site. County Rejects Bid for Tavaci Rezoning; McKay-Dee Hospital Kicks Off Expansion
The Salt Lake County Council has recently dealt another serious blow to real estate developer Terry Diehl’s ambitions as it voted 4-3 against the request to change the zoning on the Tavaci property. For a while now, the developer has voiced his intentions to develop larger buildings than originally planned at the site he owns near Big Cottonwood Canyon. With the new targeted height for development set at 100 feet, the community reacted, and according to examiner.com, a number of members of the public took to the stand and testified for around three hours against the rezoning plan.
Stalled Pioneer Park Condo Project Gets $4.5M in City Financing
Set to comprise 17 live/work units, two 580 square-foot units, ten 700 square foot condo units, ten 900 square foot apartments and 12 units with 1,200 square-foot floorplans, Broadway Park Lofts will be used to liven up the residential market of Salt Lake City’s 300 South Corridor. With prices ranging from just under $100,000 to somewhere around $500,000, the residential development will benefit from close proximity to Pioneer Park, ensuring both good exposure and an easy marketing project for the end product.
