The nation’s largest retail and entertainment destination, Mall of America, recently broke ground on a $325 million expansion project. Minneapolis-based Mortenson, a construction and development services company, Hotel Development LLC, an enterprise of the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community and the City of Bloomington and Mall of America celebrated the event.

One Santa Fe, Arts District’s Crown Jewel is Nearing Completion
One of the projects that marked a new uptick in development for Los Angeles is just months away from coming to the market. The One Santa Fe mixed-use development, featuring the backing of real estate company Canyon Capital Realty Advisors, will remodel an area of downtown L.A. The project, whose initial investor was Goldman Sachs Urban Investment Group, is now three quarters of the way into construction and will add retail, housing and art space to the area located between First and Fourth Streets, along Santa Fe Avenue.

The Rialto, a 105,275-square-foot retail and office center changed hands in early March. The seller, The Wilder Companies, entrusted HFF with the marketing of the property and the sales team was led by senior managing directors Brad Peterson and Coleman Benedict and analyst Whitaker Leonhardt. The transaction was worth $31.7 million, according to Orlando Business Journal.

Multi Housing Advisors has recently announced the sales of three metro Atlanta apartment communities, 734 units combined. The transactions are worth a total of $39.85 million and representing the sellers Josh Goldfarb and Tyler Averitt of MHA were the only brokers involved.
