Joint Venture Buys Large Cleveland Industrial Portfolio
A joint venture has recently acquired a large industrial portfolio in the Cleveland area. Alex. Brown Realty, Inc., a real estate investment firm headquartered in Baltimore, teamed up with Biynah Industrial Partners, LLC, a Minneapolis-based real estate private equity firm, to buy the Great Lakes Industrial Portfolio. The seller was a joint venture between Virginia’s Harbor Group International and local investors.
HAP Seeks Approval to Build Mid-Size Condo Building in Chelsea
HAP Investments, a real estate development company founded by Israeli entrepreneurs Eran Polack, Amir Hasid and Nir Amsel, wants to build a mid-sized condominium building in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood, across the street from to the Fashion Institute of Technology and within walking distance to Google New York Headquarters and the Verizon Building.
Marcus & Millichap Arranges Sale of Two Playa Vista Retail Properties for $16.9 Million
Marcus & Millichap’s Encino office recently arranged the sale of a two-property retail portfolio for a total of approximately $16.9 million. The two shopping spots are located in the L.A. submarket of Playa Vista. The acquisition was arranged by Marcus & Millichap, Vice President investments, Brandon Michaels and Janette Monfared, an associate with the Encino office. The seller is an affiliate of Brookfield Residential.

NorthMarq Capital Provides $52 Million in Financing for San Diego M-F Complex
The Tierrasanta Ridge Apartments in San Diego recently received $52 million in financing, arranged by NorthMarq Capital. The deal was brokered by a NorthMarq team that included Marty Meagher and Gardiner Champlin. The financing is based on a 10-year term and 30-year amortization schedule and was funded through the provider’s AmeriSphere Fannie Mae DUS platform.
