February 2015 will be the start month for the construction of an $85 million private medical school, backed by Santa Fe real estate and mining mogul Dan Burrell and his family. Over the course of 60 years the Burrells will make a $30 million donation to the New Mexico State University Foundation.

As the city’s office market continues to be white-hot, San Francisco’s assets are increasingly in demand. The latest asset to trade hands is the building located at 1400 16th Street—a historic property sold by Jessica McClintock Inc. to a venture consisting of ASB Real Estate Investments, SKS Partners and ProspectHill Group. An HFF team led by managing director Steven Golubchik, director John Simerlein and senior real estate analyst Josh DiSalle represented the seller in the deal.

Vitus Group Acquires Senior Affordable Housing Building in Koreatown for $22.5 Million

An affordable housing community catering to seniors was recently sold by the Christ Unity Church in a deal worth approximately $22.5 million. The property in question is Christ Unity Manor in Koreatown, an asset that waited approximately 15 months, eight months of which the property spent in escrow, to be traded. The sale was handled by real estate brokerage Colliers International. Although a large number of companies inquired about the property, the winning bid belonged to Vitus Group.
