Ryan Cos. Awarded Parking Ramp, Skyway Construction Contract
Ryan Companies has been awarded the parking ramp and skyway construction contract as part of the $975 million new multi-purpose Viking’s stadium development which will replace the Metrodome. The announcement was made by The Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority, which mentioned that the stadium legislation calls for 2,000 parking spaces connected by skyway and 500 within one block of the new stadium.

The city of Alexandria has received an unsolicited proposal from the St. James Group LLC to develop a huge athletics complex on the 15-acre Hensley Park. In a $25.65 million deal, an affiliate of Murray, UT – based Bridge Investment Group Partners, LLC, has acquired a 360-unit apartment complex at 951 West Orange Grove in Tucson. The seller, an affiliate of JI Kislak, Inc. of Miami, FL, had owned the property since 2000.
Friedman Recycling Opens $21M Facility in Albuquerque
The fruitful collaboration between Mayor Richard J. Berry and Friedman Recycling has led to a successful result – the opening of the single stream materials recovery facility in Albuquerque. “This new facility is a symbol of our commitment to recycling and forever changes the way Albuquerque recycles,” Mayor Berry said. The new facility not only demonstrates care for the city and the environment, but also for the economy as it brings with it 35 new jobs that over time will grow to 75.
State Announces Three New Sustainable Communities in Baltimore County
Great news for three Baltimore county areas. The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development and Maryland Department of Planning have designated Catonsville/Patapsco, Greater Dundalk, and Hillendale/Parkville/Overlea as sustainable community areas under the state’s Sustainable Communities Act of 2010.
