Continuing its plans to grow and expand, Memorial Hospital of Union County has recently announced it will open a new medical office building in Marysville. The expansion will help provide patients with an even better experience. When fully operational, the facility is expected to serve 50,000 patients per year.

Garrison Investment Group has purchased 10 industrial properties located in Columbus in late June 2013. According to the Columbus Business First, the 2 million square foot portfolio traded for $23.6 million.

With the Ohio State Fair just around the corner, Columbus hotel operators are doing their best to take advantage of this important opportunity and attract as many tourists as possible to fill their rooms. One such hotel, the Crowne Plaza Columbus North – Worthington, has recently completed a $5.3-million renovation of its guestorooms and suites, meeting and event space, lobby and public areas.

Columbus is experiencing an apartment building boom like nothing it has ever seen in recent decades. One developer trying to take advantage of the area’s growing population and the improving economy is Vision Development, Inc.

Champion Property Management, a privately-held, fully-integrated, multi-family investment firm, announced last week its twelfth apartment community acquisition this year. A Champion-sponsored affiliate purchased Caleb’s Creek Apartments, a 108-unit apartment complex in Westerville, Ohio. The price of the transaction has not yet been disclosed.

MSC Industrial Direct plans to build a 400,000-square-foot distribution center on a 70-acre parcel north of Bolton Field, on Columbus’ West Side. The facility will be Melville, N.Y.-based MSC’s fifth in the U.S., and will help support the company’s growth strategy and maintain its signature service model.
