Stirling Development Hires New OC Director

Meet Gordon Cope, the company's new director of financial planning & accounting. In his new role, Cope will focus on budgeting, tax planning and financial review for Stirling’s business activities.

Stirling Development appointed Gordon Cope as their new financing director.

Reporting to Brian Parno, the firm’s COO, he will focus on budgeting, tax planning and financial review for Stirling’s business activities, including the Southern California Logistics Airport project in Victorville, Calif. and the Ocean Ranch Corporate Centre in Oceanside, Calif. He will also analyze and evaluate new potential projects.

Previously, Cope served as a tax manager with Haskell & White LLP. He also held positions with international public accounting firm KPMG LLP and Goldman Sachs Inc. Being a Certified Public Accountant, Cope graduated from the University of Utah earning both a bachelor’s degree and an M.A. in accounting.

“Stirling has a long history and stellar reputation for developing some of the region’s most recognized master-planned real estate projects,” said Cope. “The opportunity to work with and learn from its leadership who made those projects successful was very attractive to me.”
