Stewart Taps New COO in Houston

Houston—Stewart Information Services Corp. has announced the appointment of Timothy Okrie as chief operating officer, to oversee all of the company’s business operations and focus on top-line growth and bottom-line performance.

Okrie brings more than three decades of experience in developing and executing professional services, market strategies, industry alignment and business operating models. As COO, he will oversee Stewart’s daily operations, help drive the company’s strategy through various business channels, optimize operational processes and oversee change and business transformation.

“Tim is a proven leader with a track record of being a transformative part of business growth and operational excellence,” Stewart CEO Matt Morris said in prepared remarks. “His experience in driving company operations and strategy execution will make him a vital member of our team.”

Prior to joining Stewart, Okrie served as a senior partner within the Advisory Services practice at Deloitte. He is a frequent panelist at national and regional sector meetings, speaks at insurance industry associations and business groups on the current state of the industry and emerging trends and issues, and is also a Certified Public Accountant. He will be based at Stewart’s headquarters in Houston.
