Sterling Construction Co. Appoints New President

Houston—Sterling Construction Co. Inc. announced that Joseph Cutillo has been promoted to president, previously having served as executive vice president, chief business development officer.

Cutillo has nearly 30 years of executive management experience and an extensive understanding of emerging opportunities in heavy civil construction, industrial, and adjacent markets.

Cutillo was president & CEO of Inland Pipe Rehabilitation LLC (IPR) from 2008 to 2015 and division president at CONTECH Engineered Solutions from 2005 to 2008. Prior to CONTECH, Cutillo held several management roles with Ingersoll-Rand and General Electric Corp.

He holds a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Northeastern University.

“His extensive background in the engineering and construction industry, coupled with his tireless effort and boundless energy, saw Sterling through some significant challenges and we are grateful for his continued commitment to our company and our shareholders,” said Milton Scott, chairman of Sterling’s Board of Directors, in prepared remarks.
