Salzburg, Austria—Following an approximately $11.2 million renovation, the revamped Sheraton Salzburg Hotel is now operating under the Sheraton Grand umbrella.

The 166-key Sheraton Grand Salzburg has joined the brand’s portfolio of 34 other properties worldwide, with destinations ranging from Istanbul and Dubai, to Beijing and beyond.

The hotel features a minimalistic design concept of the guestrooms, combining contemporary touches with traditional Salzburg design. The renovation has brought 29 additional guestrooms and suites, as well as a restoration of the entire sixth floor with tech-enhanced furnishings. Furthermore, the hotel’s Mirabell Restaurant has added a show kitchen, providing guests a first-hand insight into culinary creations.

Sheraton Grand Salzburg also features six Sky Suites and a Penthouse Suite, with great views of the city, mountain scenery or the famous Mirabell Gardens.

“With a refreshed and enhanced aesthetic thanks to its 10 million euro renovation, Sheraton Grand Salzburg is a best-in-class example of the brand’s new elevated approach to design, making it an ideal candidate for the brand’s premier tier,” Michael Wale, president of Starwood Hotels & Resorts, said in prepared remarks.

Sheraton hotels offer access to the Sheraton Club Lounge, a private space where guests can enjoy complimentary breakfast, as well as drinks and snacks during the day. The Piano Bar space is an ideal spot for social interaction, offering creative cocktails and menu options.
