Star Snacks Announces $18M Facility in Georgia
The company will be developing a 200,000-square-foot facility that will lead to the creation of 115 jobs, including positions in manufacturing and processing.

Star Snacks Co., a manufacturer and distributor of high-quality nuts and dried fruits, will invest more than $18 million in a new facility in Macon-Bibb County, Ga. The new development project is expected to create more than 115 jobs, including positions in manufacturing and processing.
The company will build a 200,000-square-foot facility that will source, roast and distribute peanuts grown in the southeastern part of the state. Located at 4480 Ocmulgee E. Blvd., the new facility will be situated on a 30-acre parcel within the Ocmulgee East Industrial Park. According to company officials, the plant will be completed in the next 12 to 16 months. Star Snacks specializes in the production and distribution of salty snacks. Additionally, the company’s services include private labeling for various retailers.
“Star Snacks reflects our values as a family-owned business with a proven record of success for over fifty years. Expanding Macon-Bibb’s footprint in the snack industry and agribusiness field is a testament to our great location, business-friendly environment, and ability to attract more new industry,” Macon-Bibb County Industrial Authority Chairman Cliffard Whitby, said in a prepared statement.
As an inducement to bring the company to Bibb County, the Industrial Authority agreed to issue revenue bonds not to exceed $20 million, in order to help finance the project.
