Southern Land Taps New President

Marty Posthauer will lead the firm’s commercial construction activities, bringing with him more than 30 years of experience in both commercial and residential development.

Southern Land Co. (SLC) has hired Marty Posthauer to serve as the firm’s new president of commercial construction, following a nationwide search. In his new role in SLC’s Nashville headquarters, Posthauer will oversee all construction operations and all personnel involved in each of the company’s commercial development projects, including construction managers, engineers and estimators specialized in mixed-use developments.

Prior to his move, Posthauer worked as a senior vice president of construction with Landmark Properties in Athens, Ga. Throughout his more than 30 years of experience in the industry, Posthauer has worked for Trammell Crow, Tauer Consulting LLC, MAP Construction Services and Stasco Mechanical. His development portfolio has been varied, including a number of high-profile high rise construction projects across the country. Over the length of his career, Posthauer has managed construction of 100 projects, including 30,000 residential units valued at more than $3 billion.
