$153M Luxury Hotel to Rise in Music City

Skanska will manage construction of a new JW Marriott hotel in Nashville's SoBro District.

Nashville, Tenn.—A new Marriott-branded hotel will rise in Music City. Skanska has signed a contract worth $153 million with Eighth and Demonbreun Hotel to manage the construction of the new luxury development JW Marriott Hotel in Nashville. The contract will be included in the order bookings for Skanska USA Building in the second quarter 2016.

Construction on the 33-story upscale hotel started in June 2016 and the development is slated for completion in June 2018.

Located on the southwest corner of the intersection of Eighth Avenue South and Demonbreun Street, in the city’s SoBro District, the 807,000-square-foot JW Marriott Hotel in Nashville will feature 533 guestrooms and suites, 37,000 square feet worth of ballroom and meeting spaces, four food and beverage outlets, including a 250-seat restaurant, a 200-seat rooftop specialty restaurant, a lobby bar and coffee shop, as well as a below-grade parking garage.
