Fort Myers, Fla.—The Shoppes at Cypress Terrace, a new retail development, officially broke ground in early December, and six weeks later its leasing agents announced it is already 50% leased with two national tenants. Real Estate Broker Associate Chase Mayhugh of Mayhugh Realty is overseeing the project on behalf of the owners, Anastasios and Panagiota Vasilakos, Dimitra Vasilakos and Thomas and JoAnne Venetis.

Located at 7001 Cypress Terrace in Fort Myers, the signalized corner of S. Cleveland Ave. and Cypress Terrace, just south of Daniels Parkway, the center offers good visibility in one of Lee County’s busiest commercial retail markets. The area is home to Target, Barnes & Noble, Costco and several shopping centers. The building was designed by Armin Bechtold with Creactive; engineering was completed by Sergio Guzman and Al Quatrone with Quatrone and Associates; construction will be completed by Wright Construction; and David Valin and Mark Valin with Wright will oversee the construction of the development.

“I am thrilled to be part of this project from the initial planning throughout its development, we have a great team in place and should be on track to deliver the center on or before May 2016,” Chase Mayhugh said in a prepared statement. “Although the owners are business minded they are always looking for ways to making the surrounding community a better place to live work and play,” he added.
