A partnership between Seefried Properties and Clarion Partners LLC has unveiled plans for Buford North Distribution Center, a two-phase logistics development, totaling 1.4 million square feet in Buford, Ga., northeast of Atlanta.

Construction on the project’s initial phase will begin in August this year and is expected for completion in the last quarter of 2023.

Phase I will cover 80 acres and include three Class A buildings and 969,620 square feet of logistics space with 185-foot-deep concrete exterior truck courts, 36-foot clear heights, ESFR sprinklers and parking spaces. Construction on Phase II of the development will begin in the third quarter of 2023 and will encompass two buildings and 434,320 square feet of industrial space.

Located at Interstate 985 and Friendship Road, Buford North Distribution Center will provide convenient access to Atlanta, which is some 40 miles northeast of the property. Numerous retailers, including Publix Super Market at Golden Park Village, will also be in close proximity to the development.

Eberly & Associates is the civil engineer of the project, alongside Atlas Architecture as the architect. Senior Vice President Doug Smith, Director Joseph Kriss and Associate Tripp Ausband are part of Seefried’s Leasing team for the new development.

Seefried Properties has recently broken ground on I-4 Logistics Park, a 1.8 million-square-foot logistics project in Deltona, Fla., developed in partnership with USAA Real Estate. Phase I of the project is scheduled for delivery at the beginning of next year.
