SC Shopping Center Adds 2 New Tenants

Lat Purser & Associates has signed leases with O2 Fitness and Los Reyes Mexican Restaurant at the Ashley Oaks shopping center in Charleston, S.C. Ashley Oaks is a 57,400-square-foot shopping center that has been redeveloped by Lat Purser, which acquired the property in a joint venture with Alex Brown Realty Inc. roughly two years ago. Collett and Belk | Lucy worked on behalf of the tenants on the lease transactions, while Colliers International represented the landlord.

Located at the corner of Ashley River and Wapoo roads in West Ashley, the property is less than six miles from downtown Charleston. O2 Fitness signed a lease for 24,500 square feet of space at the shopping center and now has more than 20 locations across the Carolinas. The fitness center includes group classes, personal training, cardio and strength equipment, massage therapy and kids club childcare. The Ashley Oaks location is expected to open this summer and will be the company’s 12th in the Greater Charleston market.

Local eatery Los Reyes Mexican Restaurant also leased 3,850 square feet at the shopping center. Known for its Mexican cuisine, the venue will include a 1,000-square-foot patio for outdoor dining. Los Reyes currently operates three locations in the Charleston area, with the Ashley Oaks location scheduled to open in March.
