Thor Equities inked another new long-term lease at one of its Midtown Manhattan retail buildings. Cabo Wabo Cantina, a restaurant chain founded by Van Halen’s Sammy Hagar, will occupy the entire 8,300-square-foot property. The new space marks the tenant’s first East Coast location, with the other ones being in Mexico, Las Vegas, Hollywood, Calif., and Lake Tahoe, Calif.

Located at 725 Eighth Ave. in the borough’s heavily trafficked Theater District, the property sits close to Broadway and Times Square, new residential buildings, retailers and accommodation options, including the newly renovated ROW NYC hotel. Additionally, the Times Square subway station is three blocks away.

The asset encompasses four floors and a mezzanine. Amenities include 26 feet of frontage and 16- to 20-foot ceiling heights. Thor Equities owns and operates the property’s 11,350-square-foot ground-floor retail component. Previously, the building housed another celebrity-owned franchise—Mark Wahlberg’s Wahlburgers—which vacated the premises in September 2017.
