River City Casino Completes $82M Expansion and Unveils 200-Room Hotel

River City Casino & Hotel in South St. Louis County recently announced the completion of an $82 million expansion and held a grand opening ceremony for its new 200-room hotel. River City Casino & Hotel has completed an extensive two-year investment commitment to St. Louis County and the state of Missouri, creating 350 construction jobs as well as 100 new permanent jobs.

County Executive, Charlie A. Dooley said: “Since opening in 2010, Pinnacle Entertainment and River City Casino & Hotel have invested hundreds of millions of dollars into South St. Louis County, far exceeding their initial commitment to the project. With the addition of this beautiful hotel, Pinnacle Entertainment and River City are once again demonstrating they are outstanding partners to the City of Lemay and the region, providing jobs, continued economic development and community outreach.”

Situated along the banks of the Mississippi River, River City Casino & Hotel opened in March 2010 and the multi-use complex initially featured a 90,000-square-foot casino with slot machines, table games, several restaurants and other amenities. Following the recently completed $82 million expansion, it now also features a 200-room hotel, a 14,000-square-foot multi-purpose event center and a 1,600-space covered parking structure.

Located at 777 River City Casino Boulevard in St. Louis, the seven-story River City Casino & Hotel offers 193 guest rooms, six two-bay suites and a luxurious Presidential suite. The River City Casino & Hotel features numerous amenities including a state-of-the-art fitness room, design décor showcasing artwork by Missouri’s best local artists and the first-floor guest rooms feature garden patios with outdoor furniture.
