The San Jose Mercury News reports that the Santa Clara City Council has given the nod to an enormous new Yahoo campus.

According to the Mercury News, the council voted 7-0 to certify the environmental impact report along with approving a development agreement for the Yahoo complex. At a proposed 3 million square feet, it would be the city of Santa Clara’s largest-ever development.

However, the newspaper said that plans have not been announced with regard to a groundbreaking date or the consolidation of several smaller Yahoo offices into the larger campus.

The campus spreads over 46 acres. Yahoo purchased the land for $112 million.
