Bolstered by its recent acquisition of Occom Capital Partners L.L.C., a boutique real estate investment banking and advisory firm based in New York and Portland, Maine, Ranieri Real Estate Partners L.P. has established two new advisory services groups: Ranieri Real Estate Advisors and Ranieri Situs Solutions.

The advisory group will absorb Occom’s capabilities, including investment banking, capital raising, M&A advisory and strategic planning. Subject to regulatory approval, the acquisition will be completed in the first quarter of 2012. Michael Coster, managing principal at Occom, will become president of Ranieri Real Estate Advisors, reporting to Ranieri’s co-founder & CEO, Jon Vaccaro.

The other arm, Ranieri Situs Solutions, will offer analytics to third-party clients, providing capital-markets expertise and property-valuation services to CRE debt and equity investors. RSS will be led by Debra Huddleston, managing director and head of real estate structured products at Ranieri, and Steve Powel, president of Situs North America. Helios AMC, an affiliate of Ranieri, acquired Situs in October 2011.

“With our unique combination of expertise, capital, robust teams and the Ranieri network, we believe RSS and RREA will bring real advantages to owners, operators, and investors as we assist them with real estate advisory and investment banking services,” Vaccaro said.
