Purcell Tire and Service Center Opens New Location in Tucson
Purcell Tire and Service Center expands with its third location in Tucson at 1515 East Ajo Way. The company hosted a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony with Mayor Jonathan Rothschild and company executives Bob and Juanita Purcell on Thursday December 4.The event included prize drawings, lunch and tours of the new tire service facility.

Purcell Tire and Service Center expands in Tucson with its third location, at 1515 East Ajo Way. The company hosted a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony with Mayor Jonathan Rothschild and company executives Bob and Juanita Purcell on Dec. 4. The event included prize drawings, lunch and tours of the new  tire service facility.
Robert M. Purcell started the family-owned business in 1936 by opening the first location in Washington, Mo. Today, the company is present in 10 states with over 60 retail stores and 24/7 service locations plus six tire retread plants. The company is the largest retreader of off-road vehicle tires and is one of the 10 largest retail tire store chains nationally. Purcell Tire and Service Center is also the third largest commercial vehicle tire retailer in the country. The company offers a road hazard warranty with all new tires, including Purcell’s roadside assistance program.
The new retail and service center location is one of the largest facilities of its kind on the Tucson market. It features six retail bays, three drive-through commercial bays, a roadside assistance service as well as the necessary diagnostic and service equipment for heavy duty truck alignments. Purcell’s certified staff of trained technicians also offers a full line of fleet maintenance services for local businesses. Their location right next to Interstate 10 means convenient access from the main heavy traffic artery of the area.
