ISON™ High Lumen High Bay

ISON™ High Lumen High Bay, by Orion Energy Systems

By Nancy Crotti This system offers per-watt efficiency of as much as 177 lumens per watt while delivering between 33,000 and 68,000 Lumens. It allows customers to retrofit 750-watt to more than 1,000-watt HID lighting systems as well as 10 to 14 Lamp T5 fluorescent lighting systems while reducing energy consumption by as much as 70 percent. The modular system features wireless networking and remote-control sensors, thermal management design that reduces fixture operating temperature to enhance performance, and LED chips and drivers paired with cooler operating luminaires.

Solar Canopy

Solar Canopy, by Brooklyn SolarWorks and SITU Studio

By Nancy Crotti These photovoltaic solar panels are affixed to a lightweight, adjustable aluminum frame, a setup that can be customized for roof size and structure as well as the particular solar capacities of the site. Designed with New York City residential rooftops in mind, the system can accommodate adjacent structures, foliage, roof penetrations, roof access and maximum wind and snow loads, and can expand a rooftop solar system by as much as 200 percent.

Exitronix SCL and CRL Series Emergency Lighting

Exitronix SCL and CRL Series Emergency Lighting, by Barron Lighting Group

By Nancy Crotti A tool-less, hinged door allows for safe access to the six-volt NiMH battery, and 3.6-watt, adjustable LED lamp heads enable maximum on-center spacing to as far as 60 feet. A 58-degree-wide beam lens works well with lower mounting heights or shorter corridor applications. The SCL Series, designed for wall or stem mount applications, measures 9.1 inches x 5.3 inches and operates in a temperature range of 0 to 40 Celsius. The CRL Series is designed for recessed T-bar ceiling applications and lends a clean, architectural appearance.

Sprint (Formerly Solexel)

Sprint, by Beamreach Solar

By Nancy Crotti Sprint is a high-efficiency solar panel with an integrated racking system whose light weight allows it to be installed on commercial roofs that cannot support conventional solar systems. At 290 to 320 watts, its power capacities exceed those of conventional solar systems by as much as 20 percent. Its design requires no tools or grounding, and allows for as many as 30 percent more panels to be installed on one roof, increasing the system’s overall energy output.
